In 2018, they felt a calling that was impossible to ignore. God was moving them out of the ordinary and into full-time marriage ministry. So they went looking for the roadmap, and what they found stopped them cold. The world was drowning in advice, how-to’s, quick tips, and ten-step fixes. But almost no one was asking the real question. Not how to stop the fighting, but why the fighting kept happening in the first place.

That gap was personal. Chris and Tara had lived it inside their own marriage. Two people who loved each other, still talking past each other, still hitting the same wall year after year. In 2019, the missing piece finally clicked. They learned how God had wired each of them differently, and how their personalities shaped every word, every reaction, every misunderstanding.

Suddenly the conflict made sense. And once it made sense, it could finally change.

The breakthrough was too good to keep to themselves. So they partnered with Dr. Robert A. Rohm, the world leader in communication and relationship development, and Marriage Insights Institute was born. Their mission was simple and unshakable: help couples understand the why, equip them with real communication and honest self-awareness, and build marriages that don’t just survive but reflect the unity God designed them for.
